(BOSTON, MA) — Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker has announced that $800 million in additional funding is being made available to battle the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic.
In a Tuesday afternoon press conference, Baker said the stabilization funds money will go primarily to health care providers on the front lines. A total of $400 million will go directly to hospitals, with $80 million more earmarked for nursing facilities, which have been particularly hard-hit. The funding will be released between now and July.
