(Boston, MA) The federal funding for additional pandemic-era SNAP benefits ended in February and households received their final payment on March 2nd. SNAP recipients are set to go back to just one payment per month of their regular award amount in April.

Massachusetts Governor Healey has included in her supplemental budget $130 million to help ease families’ transition back to their typical SNAP benefits. Yesterday, the Senate passed a redrafted version of the budget bill, including the $130 million request.

Updates to come as more information on the request for additional SNAP funding for Massachusetts families becomes available.
