(Lawrence, MA) The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has expanded criteria for COVID-19 testing in the Commonwealth. Now, anyone who is symptomatic of COVID-19 or has come into close contact with a COVID-19 case can receive a test. Today, the City of Lawrence, in Essex County, announced a $1 million investment to test residents for the virus. There is currently a total of 250 testing locations around Massachusetts. “While testing is a valuable and critical tool in the fight against COVID, it is not the only one,” said Governor Charlie Baker. Baker urged Massachusetts residents to remember to practice social distancing measures and use hand good hygiene during the fight against COVID-19.
