(Greenfield, MA) The Community Preservation Committee reviewed pre-applications for Community Preservation Act project funding at their Tuesday meeting. The Franklin Community Cooperative is seeking funding for the restoration of the historical brick facade of the former Wilson’s Building where Green Fields Market will be moving into and maintaining the interior tin ceilings. The committee members discussed the definitions of historical as the more recent white facade of the building may not be original but may be considered historical as well. They ultimately voted to move the project forward to the full application phase.
