GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) –Local officials are keeping an eye on the skies for the next 12 hours, as the remnants of what was once Hurricane Debby move into the area.
Heavy rains and strong winds are expected until early tomorrow morning. A Tornado Watch has been posted, meaning conditions are favorable for the formation of small twisters, although the chances of such storms forming remains low.
In the city of Greenfield, a weather advisory has been issued in response to the storm. Officials at FirstLight are advising those who live near the Connecticut River to be aware of the strong possibility of flooding, and to be ready to act.
