(Deerfield, MA) — Three people have been hurt in a two-car accident in Deerfield. It happened at around 1:45 yesterday afternoon on Routes 5 and 10 just north of the Magic Wings butterfly conservatory. Both operators were transported to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield with serious, but non life threatening injuries. A passenger was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center by Greenfield Fire Department. Police say one of the drivers admitted to falling asleep at the wheel, which triggered the head-on collision.
