Deerfield’s Top Policy Board To Go “Gender Neutral”

(Deerfield, MA) — Deerfield’s Board of Selectmen is about to go “gender neutral.” The Deerfield board will hold a series of hearings at tonight’s regularly scheduled meeting, including a measure which would alter all references in the town’s bylaws from “selectmen” to “selectboard.” The idea for the change was first broached at Deerfield’s Annual Town Meeting two years ago.
