(Deerfield, MA) – The town of Deerfield is looking for a new town clerk, treasurer and tax collector. Barbara Hancock has submitted her resignation, effective January 7th. Hancock is one of only two town clerks in the commonwealth who also has tax collection and treasurer duties. The Deerfield Selectboard must now decide if that position will remain as it is. In the meantime, they have hired Sarah Kimball as the interim treasurer-collector and Jennifer Wallace as the interim town clerk until a full-time replacement can be hired.
