Defendant In Alleged Kidnapping Case Has Nine Charges Dropped

(Athol, MA) One of the defendants, April McCassie, had nine of her twelve charges dropped in the case of the alleged Athol kidnapping from last February. In the alleged incident, a man reported that he had been assaulted and robbed along with his friend by McCassie and the other defendants, James Murphy, Franklin Payne, Ronald Mitchell III, and Marlene Hill. The charges against Murphy, Payne, Mitchell, and Hill remain in place. Read more on this incident here.
