Driver Gets OUI, Strikes MSP, Deerfield Cruisers

(Greenfield, MA) A driver will be arraigned in court Tuesday after striking both a Massachusetts State Police cruiser and a Deerfield Police cruiser Saturday night and being arrested for Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol. Deerfield officers and State Troopers both responded to reports of a driver slumped over the steering wheel after the vehicle struck a mailbox. According to the Deerfield Police, when the driver was being extricated from the vehicle, he shifted it into drive and subsequently hit both the Deerfield and State Police cruisers. No injuries were reported after the collision.
