(Deerfield, MA) The operator involved in the single vehicle crash on Mill Village Road in Deerfield has died, according to Deerfield Police. The department was called to the crash at approximately 5am Friday morning. Two passengers were also in the vehicle. One passenger is in critical condition and the other is being treated for non life threatening injuries. According to Deerfield Police, the operator of the vehicle may not have been wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. The front seat passenger was extracted with the jaws of life. The accident is being investigated by Deerfield Police Department and the State Police Detective Unit attached to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section. The identity of persons involved has not been released.
