BERNARDSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A single-vehicle accident late Sunday night on Eden Trail near the Bernardston/Leyden town line sent the driver to a hospital in Springfield with unspecified injuries.
The crash occurred at about 11:13 p.m. when the car struck a tree. When crews arrived on the scene the driver was found unresponsive. The driver was airlifted by LifeStar from Pratt Field in Bernardston to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. The identity of the driver and his condition are not known at this time.
Bernardston Fire, Bernardston Police, Northfield Police, Leyden Fire, Colrain Ambulance, South County EMS all responded to the scene. The accident is under investigation by the Bernardston Police.
