GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A record voter turnout is expected on Election Day here in Massachusetts.

Secretary of State William Galvin explained that the combination of strong early voting numbers and energized voters will likely propel the turnout to an all-time record.

Galvin believes the turnout on Tuesday will beat the record set in 2020 when more than 3.6 million registered voters cast a ballot in the Bay State.

He added that 1.7 million people cast their ballot during early voting.

Polls are open in Massachusetts until 8:00 p.m. If you are already in line to vote at that time, you will be allowed to cast your ballot.
