ORANGE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A plane with landing gear issues decided to make an emergency landing at Orange Airport on Sunday.

At approximately 9:34 a.m. the Orange Fire Department along with police and ambulances were notified by Shelburne dispatch that a pilot was experiencing issues with the plane’s landing gear and they were to land at the Orange Municipal Airport. Emergency responders coordinated with dispatch and the airport staff to prepare for the landing.

The pilot was able to complete the emergency landing on the grass, skidding to a complete stop, without injury and minimal damage to the aircraft.
