(Boston, MA) September has been proclaimed the Emergency Preparedness Month by Governor Maura Healey. The destructive floods experienced this summer by Massachusetts residents and businesses underscore the importance of planning for severe weather. The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency is sharing tips throughout the month to help prepare for natural or man-made disasters. In addition to traditional tips on preparing food, water, and important documents, MEMA also asks the public to consider tech alternatives to prepare for the loss of power, cell service, and internet connection.
