(Erving, MA) — A long-time Greenfield Police Sergeant is a finalist to become the new police chief in the town of Erving. Greenfield Sergeant David Rice is one of two finalists to replace former Chief Chris Blair. The other is Erving Sergeant Robert Holst, who has served as acting chief since Blair’s departure in August. Final interviews with the Erving Selectboard are next week.
