(Erving, MA) — Erving could appoint a new police chief as early as next week. The Erving Selectboard this week interviewed two finalists for the job. The two candidates are Erving Police Sergeant and Acting Chief Robert Holst, and Greenfield Police Sergeant David Rice. The board will deliberate on the matter and possibly vote to appoint the new chief at its regular Monday night meeting
