NORTHFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Monday afternoon just after 4 p.m. Bernardston Police reported a Ford Explorer versus farm tractor accident at the intersection of Route 10 and Main Road in Northfield. The tractor operator was thrown from the tractor and sustained what are believed to be non life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing, however it is believed that the sun and shadows may have been a factor in the cause of the accident.
Northfield, Bernardston, and Gill police units responded to the scene alongside Northfield EMS and firefighters. The incident is under investigation by the Northfield Officer Curtis Weaver.
