Female Victim Struck With Unknown Object During July 9 Armed Robbery In Athol

(Athol, MA) Athol Police Chief Craig Lundgren said during the course of the armed robbery at the Conway Petro Gas Station in Athol on July 9 a female cashier was struck twice with an unknown object. A male suspect entered the store and demanded money and during the course of the robbery struck the female victim. The female victim was transported to Athol Hospital with injuries and the male suspect fled with cash. Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services K-9 unit responded to assist Athol Police Department. Lundgren said the investigation is ongoing and the name of the suspect has not been released.
