BERNARDSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Improper disposal of a cigarette is suspected to be the cause of a fire at The Farm Table this weekend.
An individual walking their dogs noticed a fire beginning in a window flower box outside of the restaurant and contacted the authorities who were able to contain the fire to the exterior window area.
In response, The Farm Table has asked patrons to avoid disposing of smoking materials in their flower beds.
Northfield and Bernardston Police and Fire units responded to the scene.
