CHARLEMONT, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A fire broke out underneath a furnace in the basement of a 2 1/2 story home on Harmony Heights in Charlemont last week.
The first alarm fire brought in mutual aid to quickly extinguish the fire and ventilate the home. Officials remind the public to follow maintenance recommendations for heating units and to ensure smoke detectors are working throughout the home.
