The first case of Covid-19 in Orange, MA was announced on March 29, 2020 by the Orange Board of Health. With the announcement came assurances that the patient is being monitored by the Board of Health, and all contacts have been notified.

”All necessary actions are being implemented to protect our town and it’s residents,” the statement read. Anyone who has not been notified to take added precautions is not at risk at this time.

As concern over Covid-19 grows, increased measures are being taken to insure the safety of vulnerable residents. Hannaford Supermarket is offering dedicated shopping hours from 6-7am for customers who are 60+ and anyone identified by the CDC and being high-risk. Hannaford also changed store hours to allow for a more thorough cleaning process and give associates more time to rest. Starting on March 21, Hannaford changed store hours to 7am-9pm.

While Hannaford won’t be checking IDs, the store requests “all other customers support these vulnerable shoppers and wait until after 7am to enter the store.”
