The first COVID-19 vaccine doses have begun arriving, but Governor Charlie Baker cautioned Tuesday it will be some months more before vaccines are available to the general public. Four hospitals received about 6,000 doses Monday. Yesterday, the state expected the federal government to ship more than 53,000 doses to 17 hospitals statewide. It’s part of 300,000 first doses that should arrive by the end of December. Meanwhile, newly confirmed coronavirus deaths rose by 55 Tuesday.
