First Round Of COVID Vaccines Ordered For Massachusetts

(Boston, MA) The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has submitted its first COVID-19 vaccine order to the federal government in an amount just below 60,000 doses. Pfizer is expected to complete the emergency use application process soon, and a total of 300,000 doses are expected to be shipped to Massachusetts by the end of December. The plan for who will be the first group to receive the initial doses has not been announced but will be based on guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
