MONTAGUE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — FirstLight has extended their annual water drawdown for maintenance work related to a seepage management system installation, which has raised concerns about the migratory fish coming through.
FirstLight said in a statement they are working with MassWildlife and the US Fish and Wildlife Service and have been keeping flows above 1500 cubic feet per second to maintain river flows that allow for fish passage.
