Former UMass Swimmer, Navy SEAL Dies In Attempt To Save Teammate

(Amherst, MA) A former UMass Amherst swimmer and Navy SEAL died in a rescue mission earlier this month to save his teammate in the Arabian Sea. On January 11th, 37 year old Navy SEAL Operator 1st Class Christopher Chambers jumped after a teammate who fell while climbing onto a boat, they both reportedly died in the sea and the search and rescue mission lasted 11 days until being called off.
