Four Alarm Fire Destroy’s Local Farm’s Barn And Store

(Granby, MA) Shutesbury Fire Department was one of over a dozen agencies that responded to a devastating four alarm barn fire at Granby’s Red Fire Farm Saturday afternoon. Farm owners Ryan and Sarah Voiland said that no one was injured, although they lost their barn and year round farm store that has been around since the end of chestnut era. They did manage to save most of their winter stored produce as it was housed in their Montague farm location. They have set up a GoFundMe with a goal of $200,000 to rebuild and recover losses, although the Voilands estimated the damages to cost nearly $1 million.
