(Shelburne, MA) — Four New York City men were rescued by emergency crews Monday night after they became lost while hiking through the High Ledges in Shelburne Wednesday night. The Shelburne Fire and Police Departments were dispatched to the Massachusetts Audubon Society WildLife Area after the hikers called 9-1-1 after becoming disoriented and were unable to find their way back. With the assistance of the Greenfield Fire and Police Departments, drones were flown in and confirmed the hikers’ location, which allowed rescue crews to go in on foot and bring them to safety. No injuries were reported.
