This after the number of new COVID cases spiked in Hampden County over the last 24 hours, leading to a large influx of new patients at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. The state Department of Public Health reports two deaths and 883 new cases yesterday, and that 100 of the nearly 4.3 million fully vaccinated Massachusetts residents have now died from COVID-19,
