(Combined Sources) Just over $800K will be coming to the Franklin County Community Development Corp to help small businesses in the county. The funding comes from revolving loan fund established under the CARES Act. According to executive director John Waite, the money will help expand the existing loan program. Small businesses borrow the money at a low interest rate, then pay the loan back and the money is then available for another small business. $1.7 million was distributed throughout Massachusetts by the Economic Development Administration from CARES Act funds.
