(Greenfield, MA) — Contractors will break ground today on a project to ensure the future longevity of the Franklin County Fairgrounds. Franklin County Agricultural Society President Michael Nelson says the four-week project calls for a failing embankment to be stabilized, as well as installation of new storm water drains and a number of other improvements. Work is slated to begin today after a short 10 am groundbreaking ceremony involving local officials and fairgrounds supporters.
