GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Free parking for the Green River Festival begins today and continues through the weekend. The parking lots will all be available as of this morning and the City Hall Parking lot will be available beginning at 5 p.m. A shuttle service will be available at the north end of Court Square.

Free Parking at Municipal Parking Areas for Green River Festival

GREENFIELD –To accommodate traffic flow for the Green River Festival, the City of Greenfield is establishing free parking in municipal parking lots from Friday, June 20, to Sunday, June 22.

Parking will be free throughout downtown and in the Olive Street Garage starting Friday morning. The parking areas include:

·       The Olive Street Parking Garage

·       Chapman/Davis Lot

·       Ames Street Lot

·       Miles Street Lot

·       Legion Lot

·       City Hall Parking Lot (lot will not be available until 5 p.m. on Friday, June 20)

Regular parking conditions will be restored on Monday, June 23 at 8 a.m.

A shuttle service will be available to transport passengers to the festival’s Franklin County Fairgrounds location from the north end of Court Square. The Green River Festival will post signage to designate shuttle stops.

Gates for the Green River Festival opens at 3 p.m. on June 20. The festival includes a variety of live performances and local food options. The city encourages anyone parking downtown to consider exploring the vibrant downtown business community during their visit.
