(South Deerfield, MA)  — Students in the Frontier Regional and Union 38 school districts will be doing remote learning for at least the rest of the 2020 calendar year. Frontier-Union 38 Superintendent Darius Modestow has notified parents and students that, beginning Friday December 11, the districts will be moving from the current hybrid model to remote learning until at least January 4, 2021. Modestow said the decision is based solely on Franklin County health metrics, and not because of any increase in COVID transmission within the district. Additional information on a return to hybrid learning is expected to be announced the week of December 28.
