GARDNER, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The majority of Gardner, and the rest of the Millers Basin region, has been declared a Level 3 critical drought as of January 12th by the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.

Residents are being asked to conserve water as much as possible by way of minimizing overall water usage, especially non essential outdoor water use.

The Connecticut River Valley region remains in a level 1 mild drought.
