(Gill, MA) Gill’s annual town meeting will be held May 23rd and the Gill Fire Department is seeking the support of the residents to replace their 1987 Fire Engine.
The Gill Fire Department is asking the town to fund the purchase of a Pierce “responder” 4-wheel drive fire vehicle and related accessories to replace their 1987 Fire Engine. A two-thirds vote would be required to authorize borrowing funds for the purchase, although that may not be the only option for funding.
The Annual Town Meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 23rd on the second floor of the Gill Town Hall. The Fire Department has invited residents to reach out to Deputy Kimball at wkimball@gillmass.org if they have questions about the request or would like a tour of the equipment that needs replacing.
