Gill-Montague School Budget Increases By 0.7%

(Montague, MA) The Gill-Montague Regional School District Superintendent Brian Beck, along with Business Director Joanne Blier, presented the approximately $27.7 million proposed Fiscal Year 2025 budget to town officials at the Montague Town Hall last week. The district recently made adjustments to the budget as state funding has come in at nearly $700,000 less than anticipated. Gill’s assessment for the coming fiscal year has increased 4.73%, while Montague’s assessment has increased by 2.83%. The budget will be discussed Tuesday, February 13th at the school committee meeting and will be up for approval by voters in the upcoming Montague and Gill Annual Town Meetings.
