GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Greenfield School Committee has voted in new member Melodie Goodwin. Goodwin is the retired principal of Newton School. She told the committee last night prior to the vote that her experience puts her in a great position to serve on the committee.
“I served as a Greenfield Public Schools administrator for ten years, worked for four Superintendents in Greenfield, and have watched the challenges the school committee faces,” said Goodwin. “I know the history of Greenfield, the GPS schools, and I know the children and families of Greenfield,” Goodwin added.
Goodwin takes the seat formerly occupied by Amy Proietti, who resigned last month.
