(Amherst, MA) Governor Healey visited Amherst Wednesday to highlight her $4 billion Affordable Homes Act to create, preserve, and modernize housing. If enacted, the Housing Development Incentive Program would increase their program cap from $10 million to $57 million. The rental deduction cap would increase to $4,000. The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit would increase by 50%, and the Estate Tax would increase its threshold in the hopes of making it more attractive to retire and age in Massachusetts.
