BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Governor Maura Healey has signed the $63 billion state budget for fiscal year 2027. The budget doesn’t raise new taxes or fees, but it will keep free school meals and free community college in place while also expanding child care assistance for 72,000 children.
