(undated) — Governor Baker is calling on the Legislature to pass new laws regarding the use of marijuana while driving. Baker says the legalization of the use of marijuana recreationally has been on the books for a couple of years now, and there is still no mechanism for testing whether a driver is under the influence of THC if stopped by police. Baker filed a bill that would suspend the license of someone suspected to be operating under the influence of marijuana, and suspend for six months the license of anyone refusing to take a chemical test for impairment, but that bill was filed just prior to the start of the pandemic and ended up taking a back seat to other health-related items.
