(Deerfield, MA) Governor Maura Healey visited Deerfield Monday afternoon to speak with farmers about the damages incurred through recent rainfall events. Crops have been lost or deemed unsafe due to flooding, and the ones that survived are now facing issues such as fungus. Governor Healey said she is working to find funding to support clean-up efforts and payroll for the farms. The Healey-Driscoll Administration also announced online resources to help individuals and communities impacted by heavy rainfall and flooding, ranging from education, financial assistance, to cleanup and assessments.
