(Combined Sources) Areas of the Green River in Greenfield were cleaned up this past Saturday as a part of the annual Green River Cleanup. This year, to avoid large crowds, the clean–up was spread though out the month of September. On Saturday, an organized group gathered at Greenfield’s swimming area to be sent out to identified sites along the Green River. Saturday’s effort was a part of a larger Connecticut River clean up which was held in New Hampshire, Vermont. Massachusetts and Connecticut.
