GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Green River Swimming and Recreation area has reopened the swimming portion of the park Wednesday after being closed since July 17th due to elevated bacteria levels.
The state beach at Lake Wyola has also been closed since July 17th and will likely remain closed for swimming as recent test results have shown elevated levels of bacteria.
