(Colrain, MA) Popular swimming spots along the Green River in Colrain remain closed to the public. Parking conditions and large parties that left behind trash and human feces have caused locals and emergency responders to be reportedly at their wits end. Colrain is also still under a state of emergency with COVID-19. Police are reportedly enforcing the “no parking” signs and the new “no trespassing signs” as private property extends to the banks of the Green River. Trespassers who do not leave when requested will receive a criminal citation and cars parked in a No Parking zone will be towed.
