(Greenfield, MA) The Greenfield Redevelopment Authority is seeking proposals for the acquisition, renovation, and redevelopment of the First National Bank Building on Bank Row.

“Now that we have finalized plans to breathe new life into the Wilson’s building on Main Street, we are renewing our efforts to reactivate the First National Bank building to support revitalization efforts and contribute to a vibrant downtown,” said Mayor Roxann Wedegartner.

Redevelopment plans may include replacing much of the building, but restoring the face of building is “key objective of the redevelopment effort” as the original clock and stone parapet are in storage awaiting reconstruction.

Inside the building the circular check-writing kiosk with its decorative grillwork still remains, along with the doors to the bank safe, mezzanine railings, stone flooring, and a corner-office fireplace.

The complete Request for Proposals is available on the City website at https://greenfield-ma.gov/p/6981/FY-2023-IFBRFPRFQRFS. Proposals are due by 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023. The RFP process is being managed by Chief Procurement Officer Laura Phelps.
