GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Greenfield City Clerk’s office announced early voting ahead of the primary election on September 3rd. Early voting hours will begin on Saturday August 24th at 9 am and continue Monday through Friday of the following week. The deadline for voter registration is also Saturday August 24th, and City Hall will be available for registration or changes from 3 to 5 p.m. that day.

City Clerk’s Office Announces Early Voting Hours
GREENFIELD – Ahead of the 2024 Massachusetts primary election on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, the City Clerk’s Office is announcing its early voting hours.

Greenfield residents are reminded that vote by mail or absentee ballot applications must be submitted annually. To learn more about both procedures, please visit the City Clerk’s election webpage: https://greenfield-ma.gov/departments/city_clerk/elections_and_voting.php. The last day to submit a vote by mail application for the state primary is Monday, August 26, 2024 at 5 pm. The application must be received in the Clerk’s Office by that date and time.
The deadline for voter registration or to change voter information for all elections is ten days prior to the election date. The deadline for the state primary election is Saturday, August 24, 2024. Greenfield residents can register by visiting the City Clerk’s Office during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.) or register online at: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/OVR/
A secure drop box is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for all municipal correspondence, including return ballots and applications to vote by mail.
Residents voting in person for the September 3, 2024, primary will cast their ballots at the Greenfield High School gymnasium at 2 Barr Avenue. Voting hours are 7 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
