GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Early voting for the November 5th election begins this Saturday. Greenfield announced their early voting hours at the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall, beginning this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and continuing through the next two weeks, apart from Sundays.

The early voting schedule for Greenfield is as follows:

–   October 19: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

–   City Hall will be accessible through the side door

Monday

–   October 21: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Tuesday

–   October 22: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Wednesday

–   October 23: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Thursday

–   October 24: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Friday

–   October 25: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

 

Saturday

–   October 26: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

–   3:00 pm – 5:00 pm Voter registration/changes only

–   City Hall will be accessible through the side door

Monday

–   October 28: 8:30 am – 4:45 pm

Tuesday

–   October 29: 8:30 am – 4:45 pm

Wednesday

–   October 30: 8:30 am – 4:45 pm

Thursday

–   October 31: 8:30 am – 4:45 pm

–   November 1: 8:30 am – 4:45 pm

Greenfield residents are reminded that vote by mail or absentee ballot applications must be submitted annually. To learn more about both procedures, please visit the City Clerk’s election webpage: https://greenfield-ma.gov/departments/city_clerk/elections_and_voting.php. The last day to submit a vote by mail application for the state general election is Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 5 pm. The application must be received in the Clerk’s Office by that date and time.

The deadline for voter registration or to change voter information for all elections is ten days prior to the election date. The deadline for the state general election is Saturday, October 26, 2024. Greenfield residents can register by visiting the City Clerk’s Office during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.) or register online at: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/OVR/

A secure drop box is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for all municipal correspondence, including return ballots and applications to vote by mail.

Residents voting in person for the November 5, 2024, election will cast their ballots at the Greenfield High School gymnasium at 21 Barr Avenue. Voting hours are 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
