GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Greenfield local elections are ramping up with announcements for nominations for seats on the City Council and School Committee.

Maisie Sibbison-Alves and Sara Brown are nominated for two Councilor-At-Large positions, Max Webbe is campaigning for the Precinct 9 seat, and newcomer Sara Buldoc is running for Precinct 7.  In Precinct 6, the newly sworn-in Patricia Williams is running for the seat she was appointed to after former Councilor Sheila Gilmour resigned earlier this year and Councilor Marianne Bullock is running for re-election in Precinct 5.

In the campaign for School Committee membership, there are seven nominations for three seats with four-year terms and one nomination for the one single-year term. 

According to the City’s website those nominated for the three seats available with four-year terms are Melodie Goodwin and incumbent Elizabeth DeNeeve, Public Safety Commissioner David Moscaritolo, Stoneliegh-Burnhan teacher Adrienne Craig-Williams, member of the GCET Board of Directors Pamela Goodwin, City Councilor Michael Terounzo, and translator, editor, educator Jeffrey Diteman.

Jeremey Thomas Ebersole and James Geisman are running for the two four-year Assessor offices. Sally Ahearn and Martha Mahoney are campaigning for seats in the A.K. Warner Trust and Ann Marie Mayo is the sole nominee running for the three Bascom Education Fund seats.
