(Greenfield, MA) — The city of Greenfield is getting a new ambulance. The Greenfield City Council has approved a capital request to use $290,000 to lease what would be the city’s first new ambulance in its history. Fire department officials say the ambulance will provide backup service to AMR Ambulance, which is Greenfield’s current primary ambulance service, and the lease will be paid for by dues generated by those runs.
