The City of Greenfield is all set to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday with the annual fireworks display, among other activities.

The City of Greenfield will host its annual Fireworks Celebration on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Beacon Field and the Middle School Field, honoring America’s historic 250th Independence Day. The festivities
begin at 4:00 p.m. and will feature an array of talented performers and exciting vendors. A rain date is scheduled for Monday, July 6.
“Our community will mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with our wonderful annual fireworks display,” said Mayor Virginia “Ginny” Desorgher. “We hope everyone can join us for this year’s Fireworks Celebration, and, if interested, consider donating to support our Recreation Department’s fireworks fund.”
“This year’s Fireworks Celebration is especially meaningful as we commemorate our nation’s 250th anniversary,” said Christy Moore, City of Greenfield Recreation Director. “Fireworks are more than a display—they represent
pride, tradition, and shared experiences. With community support, we can continue this cherished celebration and light up the sky in honor of our history, our community, and the generations to come.”

• 7:15 PM – Well Suited
• 8:30 PM – Greenfield Community Band
• 9:30 PM – Singing of the National Anthem, led by Adelaide Ehle
• 9:35 PM – Fireworks
Greenfield’s historic Concord Stagecoach will be on display at Beacon Field throughout the Celebration. The
Historical Commission is accepting donations for the restoration of the stagecoach.
